Our story

The Amjad & Suha Bseisu Foundation was founded in 2005 by Amjad and Suha Bseisu, whose experiences as first- and second-generation refugees inspired a commitment to expanding equal opportunities for disadvantaged communities. With an initial focus on the Levant and Malaysia, the Foundation began by supporting organisations that relieved poverty, advanced education and healthcare, and provided overseas aid and famine relief.

Over time, the Foundation has evolved into a multi-directional organisation with a strong focus on education and empowerment, particularly for women, young people and refugees. Central to this work is enabling talented individuals from the Levant and Malaysia to access world-class higher education, regardless of financial background.

By partnering with universities and organisations worldwide, the Foundation helps fund master’s scholarships and supports a broad range of charities united by a shared goal: empowering individuals, inspiring brighter minds, and creating lasting opportunities for future generations.
