Aya

Aya is a humanitarian professional and Chevening Scholar from Gaza City, Palestine. She has over nine years of experience working with international NGOs in the Gaza Strip, where she contributed to implementing a wide range of projects aimed at improving the lives of affected communities and preserving their dignity. She is currently pursuing an MSc in Management of Information Systems & Digital Innovation at the University of Warwick.
Aya is deeply passionate about leveraging digital innovation and technological advancements to empower vulnerable communities, enhance humanitarian response and promote sustainable development. She aims to better understand how digital technologies can transform and positively influence humanitarian work, enhance the efficiency of various programmes, and empower vulnerable communities. She chose the programme at the University of Warwick as it offers the right balance between academic learning and real-world application. She hopes this environment will help her develop the skills she needs to support digital innovation and transformation in humanitarian work.
