Jezerca Tigani

Executive Director

Jezerca Tigani is the Executive Director of the Bseisu Foundation, where she leads the Foundation’s work, partnerships and long-term direction. She joined the Foundation in October 2025 to help strengthen its structures and ways of working, while staying true to its values and purpose.

Jezerca brings over twenty years of experience across human rights, humanitarian, development and philanthropic leadership. She spent fourteen years at Amnesty International and a further ten years in senior leadership roles with Terre des hommes, working across the Balkans, Central Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, Afghanistan and Pakistan. Before joining the Foundation, she served as Interim Executive Director of Article 39 in the UK.

Jezerca has an academic background in Political Science, International Relations, Law and Human Rights Law. She has lived and worked in more than five countries over the past decade and is a member of the UN Senior Women Talent Pipeline in peacebuilding and peacekeeping. Alongside her role at the Foundation, she advises civil society organisations on programmatic and organisational development.
