Nizar
Imperial College London, 2025-26
Nizar comes from a mixed Lebanese-Ukrainian background; for him, both Beirut and Mariupol are home. Nizar completed his BA in Economics at the American University of Beirut. During his studies he contributed to several consulting projects at university and volunteered as a mission leader at the Lebanese Red Cross. For a year and a half after graduating, Nizar worked as a consultant at Voluntas Advisory, a Danish boutique consultancy, on projects ranging from financial and operational monitoring to strategy advisory of the UN, WHO and the EU in conflict affected areas around the world.
Having built this solid foundation in leadership, teamwork and communication, Nizar decided to pursue his MSc in Management at Imperial to further bolster his skills and gain experience from one of the leading universities worldwide. His programme included a real-life consulting case, an AI immersion week in Singapore and an exchange program at one of the best business schools in Europe.
He hopes that the experience he gains from this MSc programme will provide him with the relevant experience and knowledge to further excel in the business world and contribute positively to his society through different projects.
“I aim to use the skills and knowledge gained from this Masters program to bridge divides in conflict-affected communities, support inclusive peacebuilding efforts and work closely as a consultant at international organisations to mitigate the human impact of war.”
